Post Election Volunteers Party : On Friday, Novembe 19, 2004, dozens of volunteers from the Barbaro For Congress campaign gathered at Joy's house in Staten Island to celebrate. Despite the loss people were ebullient and optimistic. A tremendous victory has been won in any case: mobilizing thousands of new activists and laying the seeds for future campaigns based on a solidly progressive agenda. Onwards!

Frank supports city workers demands for fair wages. : On Tuesday, July 27, 2004 New York City workers: police officers, firefighters and teachers gathered outside Madison Square Garden. Their message? To demand that the billionaire Mayor, Mike Bloomberg, sit down with them at the table and negotiate a living and fair wage for them. As they eloquently pointed out, the Mayor seems to have millions for new sports stadiums but only pennies for the people who make this city run day in and day out. Frank, supporting their just demands, joined them on the picket line and urged New Yorkers who were passing by to call the Mayor to urge him to start listening. You can call the Mayor at 311 and let him know you agree: A fair and living wage for NYC workers!
