Indigo's First Birthday Party : Dec 27, 2009 Friends, family and neighbors gathered at the Fray house on Underhill Avenue for a gala celebration --- Baby Indigo's first birthday party. It was not a giant shindig but it was a lovely party with good food, drink and lots of nice people. Here are some photos I'd like to share with you. and a very happy birthday to a very sweet baby!

The Mahl Boys Turn 40 : April 25, 2009 Could it possibly be? The Mahl boys - David and Evan - have turned 40! Wasn't it just a little while ago that a young David came to work at my camera store? And he was only 13 years old then! Well, no matter - these young lads threw a party at DUMBO's Rebar and it was a fantastic fling. Great food, lovely drinks and a great collection of people: from all walks of their lives. Take a look at some photos I snapped to mark the event. - Matt

Ben's Third Birthday Party : April 23, 2009 - Wow - what a bash! It was Ben Mosher's 3rd birthday party and the whole world celebrated. Well, maybe not the entire world but a large crowd of friends and family gathered at the Mosher estate in Bay Shore on Long Island. Great food and drink and a lovely mix of people conspired to produce a memoral birthday party for a great little kid. Take a look at my pictures. - Matt

JK's 50th Birthday Party - Rocked! : Mar 19, 2009 Stacey and I went to Jordan's birthday party last night. Jordan is cousin Ellen Schleifer's husband. It was a rocking affair in the very truest sense of the word. A hundred or so friends from diverse parts of Jordan's life assembled at an Irish bar (O'Flaherty's) on Manhattan's Restaurant Row in the theater district (West 46th Street). And all night long the beer flowed and so did the music - courtesy of Jordan and musician friends - blues, good 'ol rock'n-roll and great old Beatles tunes. It was loud, fun, boisterous and great. Happy birthday JK! Keep on rockin'! - Matt

Helen's 60th Birthday Bash : Feb 1, 2009 We had a great time tonight at Ilily Restaurant, a beautiful place on Fifth Avenue and 28th Street. The occasion was Helen's 60th birthday party - and friends gathered to celebrate. Well ... wow! The place spectacular; the food, fantastic; the wine, drinkable and the people, lovely. Rocks 61st Birthday Party : Jan 30, 2009 We joined other friends celebrating Rock's 61st birthday. A wonderful dinner had been prepared by Jan and Steve - Paella! David's Graduation Party : David Schaeffer is now Dr. David Schaeffer, having graduated Medial School. We all celebrated at Churrascaria Plataforma on 49th Street and nearly needed his services (due to the amount of food we ingested). It was a great and memorable evening. Pizza Party At Amorina For BPFP Activists : People from Brooklyn Parents For Peace who worked hard on the January and March peace actions got together on July 12, 2007 for a Pizza Party (to celebrate their activity). We met at Brooklyn's wonderful Amorina pizzeria in Prospect Heights on Vanderbilt Avenue. We had great pizza, delicious wine and great company. And these photos will prove what a great time we had! Rock's 56th Birthday : It was no big thing. Just a little celebration of our upstairs neighbor, Rock's 56th Birthday Party. We knocked on the door that divides our two apartments, sauntered up the stairs with tulips in hand and indulged in a little homemade lemon cake ala Diane. Delish! And a lot of fun.
