My brother and sister-in-law had been promising a visit to Brooklyn (their old home) for a long time. Finally, it came to fruition. They drove in from Bay Shore on a rainy April day and spent an afternoon and evening with us.
First we went to the
Brooklyn Museum which is only a few blocks away from our house. We saw a lovely show,
From Paris To The Sea . by a French Impressionist, Gustave Caillebotte.
Afterwards, we drove over to Red Hook so Lee and Lex could visit the grand Fairway market - with which they were duly impressed. On our way out, we stopped at their daughter Corey's place and we visited with her and new baby Max.
In the evening, we had dinner at Ici, a French restaurant that we like very much on DeKalb Avenue. It was a lovely end to a lovely day.
Here, then, some memories, in photographic form, of our day with Lee and Alexis.
Alexis and Lee came to visit. They hadn't been to see us in a while.
